"At first glance, it seems just a banana with a couple of syringes, but if you look at it with a more critical view, the banana could represent the countries where the banana is produced - the third world, and the syringes are the countries of the developed world. Although it is titled 'first aid', are we actually helping, or are we hurting? Can the banana actually stand being pumped full of whatever is in the syringes, or will it burst? Or are the syringes actually extracting, rather than putting in? If so, what are they extracting? With the different colours in the syringes, are they extracting racial prejudices? Is that what is termed by 'first aid'? Do we need to be able to see past colour in order to help others?" - Elfdaughter
